Potential Health Concerns of CBD Oil Vaping

There have been significant studies which indicate the rise of allergy symptoms within those individuals who vape. A certain percentage of the individuals have developed allergies to the chemicals and other materials found in vapes. In commercial vapes, there have been traces of harmful contaminants like lead and cadmium along with metal particulates.

With the increased popularity and use of pen style concentrate vapes, the main concern is excessive heating of the coil. These coils are usually composed of titanium, stainless steel or a nickel-chromium alloy or wire.  With the raised awareness about increased traces of metals used in aerosolized vapes, it is crucial to make sure what are the components used in the vape you wish to purchase. There is an extensive market for rip off vapes in the industry.

Nickel compounds have been classified as carcinogens with an estimate of over 10 -20 percent of the population being sensitive to this compound. Nickel and nickel-chromium compounds should be avoided entirely. When the metal wire succumbed to repeated heating and cooling, an external layer of metal oxide forms and covers the wire preventing any further process of oxidation. When liquids come in contact with this coil, it can lead to contamination of vapor as the oxidized layer of metal nanoparticles contaminate the vapor while heading straight to your lungs.

Another important fact to bear in mind is to recognize and realize that many vapes have been marketed using ceramic heating elements or quartz. This is relatively found in the new vapes found in the market. Despite this, there are still a large number of vapes having exposed wire wrapped around a ceramic or quartz core. Vapes such as these are only going to contaminate the inhaled vapor with metal contaminants.

There are other potential allergens found in CBD e-liquid. The CBD e-liquid mainly consists of two main chemicals namely, propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine.  Cases have of nausea, headache and sinus irritation have been reported from those users and individuals sensitive to these chemicals. Individuals prone to severe allergy symptoms may find themselves suffering from breathing difficulties and developing swelling formations.

Propylene glycol and vegetable glycerine are common ingredients found in everyday products like cigarettes, hair products, and other products. Allergy to vegetable glycerine is rare more likely caused due to the hypersensitivity of the plant oil from which vegetable glycerine is derived from. However, propylene glycol allergies are much more common and reported but can be entirely avoided as well.
